Community and Individual Fundraising Volunteer
Detailed Description
Eaves is a charity which offers high quality support to vulnerable women who have experienced violence, through various support, accommodation and research projects. An opportunity has arisen within the fundraising department and we are looking to recruit an Individual Giving and Gift-in-Kind Fundraising volunteer.
Main purpose of this role
This is a very varied fundraising role with three main aspects. The first involves researching and approaching potential gift-in-kind donors through email, phone and letter. This will involve work with both corporate and community partners. The second aspect is about creating new community partners by building upon Eaves’ new affiliation scheme and making approaches to relevant community groups. The third aspect is research and planning ‘cultivation events’ for Individual Donors.
Key activities and responsibilities
- To use the internet to research potential donors for in-kind donations
- To use excellent communication skills to approach potential donors via phone, email or letter
- To record all approaches and outcomes using Excel and our ThankQ database.
- To build upon Eaves’ new affiliations scheme
- To research and approach relevant community groups who may work with Eaves
- To research fundraising events that Eaves could hold within the community
- To research and work on Eaves’ new ‘cultivation events’ to increase Individual Giving

Hours of Work:
We are looking for someone who can commit to two days per week on for a minimum of three months. This can be arranged around your availability
